Help! I Can't Remember....
Who can tell me what BEC stands for? I'm pretty sure it's an acronym having to do with the student restaurant en ville, but for the life of me, I can't remember what it stands for.
OK!! Somebody has a sense of humor! But I can't imagine a French bureaucrat coming up with that. Anyone got anything else? It's driving me crazy. On every page of my journal, I make reference to going with so-and-so to BEC for dinner.
Alain thinks it was "Bordeaux Etudiants Club". Was that the little one near the Place de la Victoire? The BEC is an association sportive, so the RestauU must/might have been simply in or near their "locaux". Could it have been their club house? The club house is now in Pessac, but it must have been in town originally. The BEC dates back to 1897!
I remember it as Bordeaux Etudiants Club as well. I also remember that either KC or Holly swore she got trenchmouth eating there! It was way older and operated differently than the other restaurants...
How about Buffet d'Etudiants Cons?
